As the three Rabbis who lead the communities whose joint venture is Ohr Chadash, we must state right from the beginning how proud we are of this first-rate school, recognized by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism as a “Framework for Excellence.”
Jewish education is a priority for all of us. We look forward to Wednesday afternoons when we dedicate ourselves to help enrich the total experience of our Ohr Chadash students and faculty. We cherish the relationships that we have built with Ohr Chadash children and their families. We have come to love your children as if they were our own.
We firmly believe that Jewish education is a life-long pursuit and as rabbis, we want to do our part to instill a love of learning at an impressionable age. Our experiences have taught us that a religious school is only one part of the equation that leads to a committed Jewish life. To help meet this goal, we have created opportunities throughout the year for parent, grandparent and guardian education as well.
We also want to emphasize that Jewish learning is most meaningful for children when it is put into regular practice. To that end, all three of our congregations have outstanding Shabbat experiences for young people, especially junior congregation. We see this as an extension of the lessons and values that Ohr Chadash conveys in the classroom. We trust that your children will find these experiences to be enriching.
If we can be of any help to you now or in the future, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of us directly. We look forward to getting to know you better.
